Bitcoin mining is a process that requires a lot of electricity. In fact, electricity accounts for about 90% of the operating costs of Bitcoin miners. Therefore, miners are always looking for cheaper and cheaper electricity. The cost of wasted (or stranded) energy from methane can be very low.
